# Does Camplify allow drivers with international licences?

Insurance on Camplify bookings works one of two ways:

 - RV Owners use Flex Booking insurance (Camplify's own cover, underwritten by Allianz)

 - RV Owners use their own insurance (BYO owners)

If you're not sure which applies to your booking, message the owner to check.

**Flex bookings:**  
For Flex bookings, our insurer accepts driving licences from the UK, EU, EEA (this also includes Switzerland), Australia and New Zealand. No International Driving Permit is required.

\*If your licence is from a country not listed here, Flex Booking cover isn't available for your booking — you'd need to find an owner using their own insurance who can accept it, so please message them to check.

\*Channel Islands and other UK Crown Dependencies driving licence holders are accepted subject to approval by our insurance company. Please contact Customer Support before booking.

You will be asked for the following documents:

Drivers licence (including card or paper licence) - front and back 

Passport

Proof of address (utility bill/cell phone account, issued within the last 3 months)

Hirers and authorised drivers need to meet our insurer's [eligibility requirements](https://www.camplify.co.uk/flex-booking-insurance). They may also need to confirm the following:

- You are aged 21–80
- You hold a full, clean driving licence for at least 2 years, with all penalties and endorsements disclosed
- You are a UK resident and, if so, for how long

Please note, without this extra documentation and information, we won't be able to let the van out on hire. Send these as soon as possible after booking — the closer to your hire date we receive them, the greater the risk of delay or cancellation.

This information can be emailed to our support team at support@camplify.co.uk along with your Booking ID.

**BYO bookings:**
