Yes, the Accident Excess will become a pending transaction on the card used to make the booking.
The amount is determined by the Excess Reduction package option selected (available to all hirers making a booking with an owner who uses Camplify Flex insurance). This will appear as a pending transaction on the hirer's credit card 48 hours before the start of the holiday and for the duration of the trip.
While Camplify holds this excess it does not impact the amount paid to the owner or when the payment is made.
Completed pre and post hire checklists are critical for any bookings that lead to a damage (excess) or insurance claim and may be used to support any claims made by the owner or hirer. Without completion of these reports, Camplify will not be able to support a damage or insurance claim.
Once damage is reported to Camplify, we will withhold the hirer's excess until liability is determined and costs are approved. Alternatively, if the owner reports no issues, the excess is released in full to the hirer approximately 48 hours after the end of the holiday.
