How do I switch from using my own insurance to Flex on-hire Insurance?

If you own a motorhome, campervan or vehicle with a rooftop tent, you may be eligible to switch from using your own insurance (BYO) to the on-hire insurance provided by Camplify’s insurance partner. Check you and your vehicle meet the eligibility criteria. This insurance is charged at a daily rate for each day your van is on hire. What happens with existing bookings?

If you’d like to apply Flex on-hire Insurance to any existing bookings, this is considered a change to the hire agreement. As such, you’ll need to get written consent from each hirer confirming they understand and agree to the change.

Please note: switching to Flex on-hire Insurance may result in a higher accident excess for hirers. More details can be found at camplify.co.uk/accident-excess.

Once we receive the hirer’s consent, we’ll be happy to update your existing bookings for you. All future bookings will automatically be covered by the Flex on-hire insurance once it's set on your listing.

Important: Updating the insurance setting on your listing does not change the insurance for any existing bookings. Please email us at owners@camplify.co.uk if you need help updating these.
